Olmsted 200 Painting - "Gathering Place, Bethesda Fountain, Central Park"

Kimberly and I have had the pleasure of experiencing a number of Olmsted designed parks across the country. Central Park in particular brings back a lot of great memories for us. Living in the city, its parks became a kind of backyard filled with history, especially places like Bethesda Fountain and Terrace. It's a gathering place for tourists and locals alike.

This painting is a part of the National Association for Olmsted Parks Olmsted200 project, a bicentennial celebration of the birth of Frederick Law Olmsted, featured in an online exhibition of work by Olmsted Plein Air Invitational alumni. It is now available at
